Meet Our Staff
As President and CEO of Rehder & Associates, Al is responsible for overall operations of the firm. He received his education from Dunwoody Industrial Institute (now Dunwoody College of Technology,) graduating with a degree in Land Surveying & Civil Technology in 1969. Al currently holds registration as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the States of Minnesota and Wisconsin (registration obtained in 1977 and 1980, respectively.)
Gregory L. (Greg) Gentz - Vice President With more than thirty years of experience within the Land Surveying industry, Greg is responsible for overseeing the office portion of all Land Surveying operations, as well as the day to day operations of Rehder & Associates.
Thomas J. (Tom) Adam, PLS - Vice President Tom received his training from Saint Paul Technical College (now Saint Paul College) and is registered with the State of Minnesota as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS.) With nearly thirty years of Land Surveying Experience, Tom is responsible for the management of our field crew operations, as well as our GPS (Global Positioning System) operations.
The Civil Engineering department of Rehder & Associates offers services for both commercial and industrial applications, (for either site development or land development projects,) as well as subdivision layout including utility design. Our engineering department has four registered Professional Engineers (PE) as well as support staff; all working to exceed your goals and expectations.
John, the head of our Civil Engineering department, is responsible for most of our Civil Engineering projects pertaining to site development. He received his education from the University of Minnesota, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 1975. John is currently registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) in four states, including Minnesota (1984) and Wisconsin (1995.) In addition to being a registered Engineer, John is also registered with the State of Minnesota as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS-1993.)
Benton G. (Ben) Ford, PE, LEED A.P. Ben received his education from the University of Minnesota, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 1989. In 1996 he became registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) with the State of Minnesota, and is also recorded as a Trained Wetland Specialist in Minnesota (1994.) He received LEED Accreditation in 2008, and can skillfully guide clients who are pursuing LEED certification for their project. Ben is responsible for most of our residential and commercial land development design projects, including sanitary sewer, water main, and storm sewer design, and has also participated in pavement management studies with MnDOT (Minnesota Department of Transportation.)
Nick started with Rehder & Associates in 1998, working as an engineering intern. In 2000, he graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, and in 2004 received his registration with the State of Minnesota as a Professional Engineer (PE.) Nick works with both commercial and residential projects involving both site development and land development, and is our foremost expert on hydrologic modeling and analysis; performing stormwater calculations for various rainfall events to ensure that the stormwater for each project is handled effectively and efficiently.
Jon joined Rehder & Associates in 2005. He graduated from the University of North Dakota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 2000, and also holds a Master of Engineering degree, with an Environmental Emphasis, from the University of North Dakota. Jon has experience in Environmental Systems Design (Water/Wastewater) as well as Residential Development and Design, and currently works with our residential projects. Jon is registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Minnesota.

In addition to our three principals, the Land Surveying Department at Rehder & Associates has dedicated and experienced staff in both the field and the office; working to complete your project on time, on budget, and to your exact specifications.
David received his education from Dunwoody Technical Institute (now Dunwoody College of Technology,) graduating with an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Land Surveying and Civil Technology. In 2003 he received his registration as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the State of Minnesota, and in 2007 obtained registration in the State of South Dakota. David has been with our company since 1998, and oversees most of the C.I.C. (Condominium) work that Rehder & Associates performs. He has provided expert witness testimony in court proceedings, and is our foremost expert on ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, as well as Legal and Easement Description preparation.
John graduated from St. Paul College in 1986 with a degree in Civil Engineering Technology. He has 25 years of Land Surveying Experience in the Construction Industry and is certified by the NSPS for Level III Construction.
